Saturday, June 3, saw some of Saskatoon's Tia Kwan Do practicioners out for a major competition. The various martial arts though differing in the emphasis all require inordinate self discipline and this was certainly evident as these young people demonstrated their moves for judges during the competition for the trophies seen on the right. These pictures give you some feel for the event which is a participator, rather then spectator kind of sport. The real achievement for each individual involved is their own personal triumph, their own measure of themselves and the level of self control and skill body movement they are able to demonstrate.
