FTLComm - Tisdale - May 22, 2000

The Louis Dreyfus inland terminal South of Tisdale is undergoing a minor construction project with the addition of two new wood structures for office and administrative space and an almost 50% increase in storage capacity.

The original plan for this terminal was to have condominium storage available and in the initial construction no extra room was included. Now with the terminal running the time has come to put up addition bins so that farmers can move their harvested production directly from the field to the storage facility then market that product later as they choose. With about one third of last year's massive crop having been temporarily stored on the ground the expansion plans by Louis Dreyfus make good sense and farmers will no doubt take advantage of being able to use this rentable storage in the years to come.
