The project superintendent is from Iowa and he spends a month here then gets home for some time with his family. This coming weekend he has hopes of making the journey back to Des Moines but the difficulties in the airline industry on both sides of the border are endangering his travel plans.

With pilots on strike in the US and Air Canada's pilots threatening to go out as they demand 9% wage increase in each of the next two years after years of wage role backs and layoffs the airline industry is recording very high profits.

This competition in the grain buying market is good for the farmer and in the long run develops efficiency and
