Pumpkin day

FTLComm - Tisdale - Monday, October 31, 2005

Tisdale is a place where people get into the spirit of things and Pumpkin Days, a long tradition promoted by the Chamber of Commerces involves several events in the week before Halloween. This year with Halloween falling on a Monday it was a natural for most of the events to be centred around Saturday and as you saw in the Pumpkin Carving story the Tisdale Trojans were part of the day's activities.

Treats and a perfect picture set were set up on the Town Square with hot dogs and coffee on hand it was clouding but not cold and people gathered to share the event.

The Tisdale Air Cadets were busy selling poppies on Main street and in the mall.

The Beeland Co-op pitched in with their haunted house extravaganza, this year a "hospital of horror" of course without the reality of hospital food, the show was fun.

After walking downtown we came upon a short individual in the most authentic costume I have seen this year. True to the Halloween theme, a friendly but just as bad luck as any, black cat, strolled on to the street, but promptly turned and did not cross our path, but then, it was only Saturday evening.
