There is still a post office located in McKague but it and the abandoned Russells (above left) are the lone survivers of what once must have been a main street. The sturdy school building (left) is boarded up but the efforts have been made to maintain the playground. About five dwelling appear to
still in use although it is hard to tell. One of the features of this site are a large number of really small abandoned dwellings many now overgrown with trees. The largest building is the church which seems to engulfed completely in trees.
