Ensask Biofuels

FTLComm - Tisdale - Tuesday, June 5, 2007

The signs went up last week to establish a whole new project as Tisdale Dehydration makes the transistion from an alfalfa processing plant to an ethanol plant.

The project is documented on the company's web site where you can check out the grants they have garnered from provincial and federal governments and the money raised through investment.

As with any change there is bound to be some left overs. (below)

Today, two cranes were supporting a group of workers, dismantling some of the sun-dry product portion of the dehydration plant. The main dehydration operation will be used to handle the by product mash used for cattle feed.

On June 12 from 9:00 until 4:00 there will be an information forum at the RECPlex for the community on the whole ethanol process and the related grain and labour affects the plant will have on the local economy. The forum is open to up to 400 members of the public and there is no charge for the day's informative programme.
