- Wakaw - March 2, 1999The scenery along the highway from Melfort to Saskatoon on Monday was spectacular, oh its the same old places just seen in a different light. For me it really is all about light, the slant of the sun and the kind of shadows that are produced by the light of March give these scenes their uniqueness. This first picture above is from mid way between Wakaw and Melfort looking South at around 2:30 in the afternoon. As you can see on the right the bright sunlight is stripping away the snow cover off of the hills just East of Wakaw.
