--Tisdale - Another Moving Day

The picture above shows the promise of pre-dawn at 0700 today as the sun makes its annual journey further and further to the South each day as it rises on the Eastern horizon. The remarkable weather of the past two days is expected to continue although today the sky is slightly obscured with the persistence of smoke from agricultural pollution The picture on the right is one that will shock most long time residents of the community for few, if any people who live in or around Tisdale will be able to remember a time when you could look South down main street and see the country side to the South of town. half a century and this morn- ing is very foundation is being dug up by a company from Assinaboia. On the East side of town a modest home is being installed across from the Petro-Canada bulk agent to make it the tenth house to be added to Tisdale this year.

We showed you these rafters all stacked up but now here they are in place as the Tisdale Veterinary Clinic has made a substantial addition to the front of the building and topped off the structure with a conventional roof. This change should improve the use of fuel in this building and reduce roof leaking problems from ice build ups in the winter and spring. Over in front of the airport the town back hoe has removed the "Welcome to Tisdale" sign as it is being renewed and replaced with a new one.
