Hello Timothy,
I just read your expose on the newspaper web sites - or lack thereof. I have beaten you to punch as it happens I fired this off to the customer relations link for the Star Pheonix on the 2 of Sept. Thought you would like to know that we are in agreement.

Hello

My name is Stuart Innes.
I have been reading the SP on-line for well over a year at least surviving at least one format change.

Being from Regina I have found better and greater content as well as more of a Saskatchewan flavour. . or maybe it was just a better web layout. I am e-mailing at this time to you in particular because the web team address popped up Edmonton.

The Canada com web format is MIND-NUMBINGLY BAD! Sorry, I had to make sure the folks at head office heard that too.
Perhaps my one little voice as one little web reader won't even make a ripple in the big corporate pond of SP "progressive thinking" but I really hope you, or rather the SP readers are not having tp pay more for the new web look. I also hope that the regular advertisers that were featured on the old web site weren't just 'blown off' along with their money in favour of the new site.

Having said all that, to summerize the SP web news has gone from "an easy to use", easy to read, uniquely Saskatchewan flavoured site, to "just another generic fish on the WWW pond. Yahoo has an easier and better presented Candian section for Gods sake!

Please pass this along to those who may think they made an improvement to web site for whatever reason and offer my congratulations to the former web page creators. They went far beyond the generic! and they almost certainly did it because they believe that all these generic outfits like Go.com for example are failing because readers and web browsers like myself just browse on to the more interesting, more personalized sites.
Thanks in advance.
