FTLComm - Tisdale - June 13, 2000 |
At seven this morning I could not see the East end of the football field as a sturdy
North wind blew across the countryside and with the fog came a steady spatter of
very light rain. Yesterday we celebrated a sunny afternoon, the first such day in June this year as the temperature edged up toward 20. But using some interesting software I have been monitoring temperatures around the world and discovered we are not alone in having some lousey weather. It is 4 in Adelaide Australia with fog patches and 18 in Cape Town South Africa as they are deep into late fall early winter. London almost made it to 20 but it was 18 in Moscow and 25 in Calcutta with light rain and thunder and 29 in HoChi Minh city (Siagon). Califorina, in the San Francisco area it is 18 and LA was 20. If you have a Mac check out the software GROK a nifty shareware programme that you can used to simply check temperatures and sky conditions all over the world. Today in Watson Lake Yukon it is 10 and cloudy, Bella Coola BC is 11 with light rain showers and 10 Knots from the West, Kamloops is 10 overcast, Swift Current 10 light rain and 10 knots from the North North West, La Ronge is 10 overcast, Yorkton 15 overcast and 8 knots from the North, Winnipeg is 15 light rain and 3 miles visibility, and in New York's central park it is 14 cloudy and 10 knots of wind. It is strange some of the things I get in my email I want share with you this little gem from this morning: |
