Baby seat inspection at SGI

FTLComm - Tisdale - Friday May 16, 2008

Tisdale Tiny Tornados Daycare in cooperation with SGI put on a child seat inspection clinic today at the SGI claims centre. The project received the support of Art's Autobody, Beeland Co-op, Gary's Paint & Body, Southside Autobody, Tisdale Autobody & Glass and Tisdale Flood and Fire.

Despite the howling wind there was a good turn out as vehicles with car seats dropped by to be checked out not only to see that the seat were proper but also to check to see that they were properly installed.

The whole business of safe seats in cars for children is remarkably important because even a low speed fender bender can deliver a serious amount of decelleration to a little person not properly held and protected.

One of the things you may not be aware of is that should you get into a minor accident with your child in their seat that seat must be replaced. The seats are designed to protect their occupant in the event of an accident and when an accident occurs the seat no longer can be used. One crash per seat.
