Mission: Being close counts

FTLComm - Tisdale - Thursday, May 13, 2004

The original plans for the Golden Age Centre ground had a number of outdoor activity centres planned and the first of these has been installed as work began Monday to install a set of horseshoe pitches on the southwest corner of the grounds.

On Tuesday I amble over to see what Art Smith (above) and his friends were up to as they were setting up the back boards for each pitch. The concrete pads had already been dug in and all that is left now is to add some sand and the pins and this recreational project will be complete.
