FTLComm - Tisdale - November 7, 1998
Not the NHL or the Olympics, this sports fans is real hockey played for fun and by those who love the game. The outdoor Tisdale Rink is open and available for use. The signs clearly explain when it is available for use and the rules that apply. The ice conditions Sunday afternoon couldn't be better and as you can see so was the fun.

For many Saskatchewan people this is what hockey is all about and for many it is the only form of the game they have played and of course, this form of the game is by far the most meaningful. You will notice the players below are using a tennis ball, this is an adaptation of the game from street hockey but allows them to play with out being a major threat to others on the ice.

If you have memories and experiences playing outdoor hockey I would love to hear about them.
