Trojans host Telus Regional play-off
for National Championship

FTLComm - Tisdale - Wednesday, May 25, 2005

After the regular season of the "AAA" hockey leagues in Canada wrap up their play-offs begin as each province establishes a league champion. Once that is completed its time for the National play down to begin and Tisdale is the site for the play-offs sponsored by Telus to take place between Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

As Tisdale is the host for the tournament the Trojans get an automatic buy into the tournament.

This year the junior national championship took place in Weyburn and though it had lost to Yorkton in the provincial finals the Red Wings went on to win the championship.

The committees to handle this really important event have been set up by the Trojans and Dwight Olson is the man in charge, here is what he had to say about it this morning.
