The picture at the top of this page shows the scene looking West from Heritage Rd, the western boundary of the town of Tisdale, along highway #3 that heads west to Melfort.

On the South side of the highway is the Tisdale airport and several businesses are located on the North side. The most important of these is John Bob Farm Equipment. Though there are three farm machinery dealers in Melfort none of them are locally owned and operated. Tisdale's John Bob Farm Equipment is a large operation and is indeed a local Tisdale business. A business that not only serves the agricultural business in the area but is a responsible employer that keeps its staff on year round and is one of the first businesses to pitch in a support community events.

A farm machinery business takes up a lot of real estate. Besides the display area for new and used machinery about half of the property is a secured fenced in area for assembly and storage of both equipment for sale and customer's equipment in for service.

All of the pictures on this page were taken late afternoon on Friday, April 1. The winter's snow had been mostly cleared away but in these pictures you can see the whole process of winter turning to spring.
