We spent last weekend in Winnipeg and though they are sharing the similar weather that we are not enjoying they have not been treated to their annual flood and it appears they have been spared that inconvenience in 2014.
The picture on the right is the prairie west of the city as it appeared on Tuesday morning with the fields pretty much clear of snow and only a little water laying. We did notice on the Assiniboia floodway west of Portage there was quite a bit of ice but otherwise things are fine.

Here in Tisdale the little Dog Hide has continued to run right at its upper limit and flooded Riverside Golf course and some other low lying areas perhaps on Monday. On Wednesday the water was over the road east of the course but today the level of water has dropped by about twenty centimetres.

The pictures you see on this page were all taken Thursday afternoon. Though we had a little rain it turned to snow just after dark so that this morning the ground was once again white. We did not receive significant amounts of precipitation though it continued to drizzle throughout all of Friday.

From the looks of Environment Canada's thoughts on the matter we can expect a little more precipitation tomorrow but5 with slightly warmer temperatures of about 7º then cloudy and rain Sunday and Monday. Tuesday the outlook is for sunlight and 11º continuing to warm up for the next few days.
