Little Bit of Spring

FTLComm - Tisdale - Tuesday, April 9, 2002
Last night the temperature did not nose dive as it has every other April night this year. Light snow fell most of the evening then again this morning covering everything in a shiny white cover.

The heat from the day time sunshine is having its affect as there is water laying in many places and this morning I spotted the town crew using their steam machine to clear a frozen culvert.

The picture at the top of the page and those in the sequence below were all taken between 8:50 and 9:30 this morning and pretty much tell you what it was like around town. The department of highways had their truck out, main thoroughfares in town had been sanded but the temperature was working its way up from -7 and the new snow will quickly disappear.

There are now six geese standing around the Doghide East of town although I couldn't get close to them to discuss the weather I am certain they have a philosophical view of this sort of thing.

The little music clip you are hearing is from the Genie award winning sound track from"O Brother Where Art Thou?" Perhaps this wistful prayer goes well with the promise of the coming season.
