Waiting For Spring

FTLComm - Tisdale - March 6, 2001

With a sky of impending doom it seems like spring and the summer that might follow will never come. All in all we may have come to the realisation that winter has outstayed its welcome, its time for it to move on.

On the West side of Tisdale this morning the town has its front end loader busy clearing the ditch along Heritage Rd in preparation for an anticipated run off.

This set of tree have stood naked now since September now into their seventh month patiently facing nasty winds and frozen ground, though leaves may be more than a month away they will be
welcomed with open branches.

This is a spring and summer project, an ancient Fargo truck in want of restoration it has already been passed over for years it can wait, warm weather and sunny skies will do little for this inanimate once utilitarian machine but we all can dream of glory and better days to come.

Facing North the Hohmstol back yard is engulfed in snow, its deck and barbecue covered, its lawn buried like we mortals this yard must also just bid its time wait dreary day after day for the wind to turn warm, the skies the clear and the snow to transform into puddles and trickle away. Leaves will emerge on to the stems of twigs, blades of grass will beg to be mowed and a flower will bloom, all in time, all when this time has run its course.
