The pre-leaf time of spring |

 After many years of having a cement lawn one home owner was getting his front yard ready to plant grass but the yard at the top of the page is probably the best looking lawn in town. It is surprising how good some yards are beginning to look and the absence of leaves is actually rather charming as you can see in this picture of the Doghide as it passes under the trestle on the East side of town by the golf |

 course. The leaves that had fallen off the trees seem to go unnoticed now and we can peer through the limbs into places that soon will be obscured. The pattern the naked trees make with their shadows and variations in texture create interesting designs in these four pictures. We can see that it will not be long before |

 the leaves will soon be filling these scenes. This hidden back yard as an atmosphere of being hidden and ultra private. The scene below is the same setting only looking upward through the trees to the sky beyond. These scenes are all along the East side of town beside the Doghide. |

 The evergreens have a special sharpness in this scene shot toward the sunlight and the grass below them in its fresh spring colour. The same location is seen below, only turned and looking through the row of trees that will soon provide shade to this area. |
