A walk in the park

A walk in the park

FTLComm - Tisdale - Friday, September 19, 2003

Today was a gloomy fall day even though fall will not be officially here until the weekend it definitely has become fall like. The sky was overcast, the odd drop of rain falling and the air has a crispness that goes with 10º and a chance of frost tonight.

The trees along the streets have mostly let their green go for the year while in the country side things are not as colourful. But on the hiking trail along the Doghide into St. Therese Park there is a dusting of leaves already on the path and some shrubs are showing their last colours until spring which seems far away right now.

These trails both near the RCMP detachment and South near the golf course are the most

pleasant part of Tisdale, twelve months of the year but autumn seems their very best. As you walk along the trail the muddy Doghide is just through the bush and with the cool weather there are no insects but sadly with the departure of the insects there are few birds as well.

This QuickTime VR panorama was taken below the marker that marks the site of the hospital and if you do not see the image you will need to
download QuickTime, it only takes a few minutes and installs painlessly.
