Tourist booth has excellent first weekend

FTLComm - Tisdale - Wednesday, May 26, 2004

The Tisdale Chamber of Commerce Tourist booth opened for business last Friday. Chantelle Gagnon as the manager works full time and is supported by part time workers Amanda Klimm and Dayna Ballard.

Chantelle explained to me today that it was a surprise to see the response for the opening of the mini-golf. With the weather being so cold it was also a surprise and a credit to the quality of the campground as six families were in sites over the weekend.

The Tisdale Tourist booth is well fitted out with brochures on local attractions and the staff are able to brief visitors on things to see and do in this exciting part of Saskatchewan.

The tourist booth does have Internet access so if you read this and will be visiting Tisdale or the Tisdale area you can make contact by sending e-mail to Tisdale Chamber of Commerce.

For local people drop by and offer this year's staff encouragement and have a go at the mini-golf course. The booth is open seven days a week during the summer.
