Fraser was injured in the first half of Sunday's 2-0 victory over Kansas City in the regular-season finale for both teams. Ezra Hendrickson would replace Fraser in the starting lineup, Zambrano said. Fraser missed because of injuries and U.S. national team commitments.

"Our defense is not as strong without Robin," Zambrano said. "On the other hand, Ezra gives us a different dimension. All of a sudden, we are a threat to score on dead-ball situations and corner kicks, which we never were before. We've had quite a few headers go in. I think a lot of that has to do with Ezra's presence, because everybody's worried about him and he creates opportunities for other guys."

The 6-foot-3 Hendrickson joins forward Eduardo Hurtado as the Galaxy's tallest players. Hendrickson has played in six matches and started two for Los Angeles since it claimed him on waivers from the New York/New Jersey MetroStars Aug. 6. The Galaxy has out-scored its opponents, 9-3, when Hendrickson has been on the field.
