Until proven guilty |

When did the principle that a person is innocent until proven guilty get dumped? |
The emotional cop in Toronto, held a picture and referred to it as being the image of a person who is not only a murderer but a child murderer. |
CBC TV seemed to be comfortable airing that story for most of today. |
Certainly the crime against the 9 year old was terrible; of course the horror to her parents, relatives and friends is indescribable; and likely the Toronto police do have in custody a suspect who has been charged. |
That last part is all we should hear from the cops. |
It is the court that should (I do mean shall!) determine the guilt or innocence of that or any other suspect. |
The media - in this case, a very unjournalistic CBC - and out of control cops are seriously compromising our system of justice. |
