The Sky is falling

FTLComm - Tisdale - Saturday, June 18, 2005

It just at dark that the sky over Tisdale turned black and shortly thereafter the thunder began and seemed to go on most of the night. I was here in the office working on my story and then connection with the Internet ended and that was that for the night's work at 11:00.

Though we could here the rain falling we did not realise that extent of the rainfall until after breakfast when we went garage saling and discovered water lines up near Newmarket that suggested that the rain had been extensive.

The basement flooding occured two blocks west of main street immediately south of the CN railway. As we drove through that neighbourhood there was a pipe pumping water from every house.
