FTLComm - Tisdale - December 5, 1998
Tisdale’s twenty or more new houses are about to experience their first winter and their owners can expect a good deal of condensation on the windows. Even with houses like this with a wood basement and triple glassed the water seems to accumulate. The basement floor is of course concrete and continues to cure for some months. This home owner says that a dab of silicon caulking holds the SM insulation pieces in place and that does the trick.

The insulation along the bottom of the window keeps the window warmer and reduces the amount of frost or accumulation of water in any home, old or new.

So how's this new home in its first taste of winter? Basement great, but that steel insulated front door needs a stormdoor.
