Up to your eyeballs

Gravelbourg - Thursday, February 19, 2004 By: Dawn LaRochelle, Images by: Donna LaRochelle

Here are pictures of our farm in Gravelbourg.

My father standing on top of the snow in the yard that has drifted over a parked van.

Minx is taking the whole pile of snow in the yard pretty much in stride.

My dad is sure that we are going to have a flood in gravelbourg again this year.

He is hoping that the dike that they built around the new housing will hold up.  I guess we will see.

The countryside around Gravelbourg is flat with only the slow meandering Wood River to move water from the area toward the South.

With miles and miles of open fields to the West and the North the snow catches in the farm yards so that most yards in the area are almost covered over like ours this winter.
