Tisdale, a town under construction

FTLComm - Tisdale - Wednesday, July 7, 2004
Though construction is not the primary function of Tisdale there are times when you wonder. Housing starts have been slow this year with one house built on Forester Crescent off of the north end of Newmarket. A second lot on the east side of town looked like it was to be the second house of the year but the house was cleared and then the lots smoothed out but it has now been sold and awaits development.

Houses three and four are underway on the south side of town and of course, the eighteen unit Maple Ridge condominium has begun its rise upward.

The four lots on the west side of the Golden Age Centre have all been sold and are slated for houses and Rise Construction will begin work on a triplex when they finish work on an outfitters cabin they are presently working on out of town.

The development of the town square is expected shortly and the tender for confusion sidewalk stickouts was in the paper today.

Meanwhile the paving crew are dashing about town patching and resurfacing.
