Auction Slump

FTLComm - Tisdale - Thursday, June 24, 2001

Wednesday was auction sale day in Tisdale and though there seemed quite a few people around it was just a fraction of what we have seen out at the end of June in other years. Crowds are drawn by what is offered for sale and though there were some treasures amidst the assembled stuff much of what was there was of very low value and in general it was a very small sale compared with other years.

Some believe that we have been auctioned out, the smaller farms that could no longer hold on have gone and just the desperate remain. It is hard to tell from an event like this but things did not look good.

But some folks did come away with what they were looking for below this fellow came with a semi ready and waiting to take on the tractor he picked out and as soon as the purchase was made he had it revved up and and was downt he highway to load it on the semi.
