renovations were nearing completion and one of the goals that the church has is to erect a steeple atop the North West corner of the building. In the image taken this morning we have taken the liberty to sketch in a steeple as it might look when it is eventually constructed. The days events include the celebration of mass then the congregation assembled around the newly created grotto for its dedication. This important day confirms the importance the church has played in the history of the area as it not only has served the people since 1898 but for most of the century its hospital provide the community with health care. Following the dedication lunch was served in the huge tent set up on the site. Following the lunch some modest entertainment with some music rounded out a great day, despite the over cast skies the temperatures and gentle breeze made the day pleasant and ideally suited to the planned activities.
