Ah yes, the geese come back, robins build their nests, farmers begin planting this year’s crop, all and well good signs that winter is really over but nothing really says “Spring” like the beginning of the garage and rummage sale season.
To kick off this year on Thursday, St. Matthew’s Anglican Church opened its doors for this year’s sale. Each year their sale is the biggest and the best with a huge number of customers on hand looking for bargains and they are never disappointed. My find this year was a digital card reader to replace a damaged one and it set me back a whole 25¢ and as you can see the pictures in this story were downloaded with this card reader.
The sale ended Saturday at noon but it is only the first of the big ones as other churches in this and surrounding communities clean out their basements and attics to feed the ever eager bargain hunters.
