Though we can view each year's progress by the calendar, many Saskatchewan residents tend to see each year in terms of one crop year to another. With that in mind, this is a good time to reflect on the progress made in this community since this time last year.

It was this time last year that the students of TUCs were sadly considering the end of their old school as the new building had already begun to take shape. Now TMSSis finishing off its first year of graduating students.

The massive Harvest Valley Pool project was nearing completion as its profile can be made out in the street scene on the left. But despite its construction and the work begun on the new Pioneer terminal, Tisdale's main street had a forlorn look to it.

That look is gone, almost every main street in every town in Saskatchewan has a few empty buildings, vacated as the economic and trading pattern changes have created a lot of empty buildings, but main street Tisdale does not have an empty store. Each day at 3:30 PM this street experiences a bit of a traffic jam and the photographer had to dodge a couple of vehicles to catch this shot (above) Tuesday afternoon at 5:15.

As we have mentioned on this site before, the housing boom of twenty
