Nuform Packaging Expansion FTLComm - Tisdale - Wednesday, June 19, 2002 With demand for the Eurotray fruit dividers exceeding production Nuform is well on its way to enlarging its capacity. Renovations of the building have been going full speed ahead with the removal of the upper floor in the building and clearing of walls to make room for the new processing machines. The present machine now in use will be enlarged to increase its capacity but the frames you see in the picture here will become the main components to the new units. These new frames are significantly larger than the present production unit and will allow Nuform Packaging to meet its production needs and be able to supply its customers. The present building will be able to house this expansion with walls and various areas remodelled to meet the space requirements of the increased size of the production machinery and storage for finished product. The old building seen here is looking like it will be demolished to make way for the expansion. Nuform will continue to run twenty-four hours a day seven days a week as they have orders to fill and the expansion process will have to take place without disrupting the company's ability to get the finished products out the door. |
