Mr. Wuschenny updated the local members as to happenings at the provincial level. There are now over 10,000 members in the provincial STS organization with over half of these enrolled in the benefits plans. This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the provincial organization and a history is being written to mark this occasion. The provincial executive had a strategic planning day last month to evaluate the goals of the organization as well as those of the committees. The STS can no longer be covered under the blanket insurance of the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation and due to increased security measures they will now have to have their own fax machine and shredders, etc which will be an added $30,000 expense. The Annual General Meeting of the STS will be held in the Travelodge Hotel in Saskatoon on May 14 - 16. Tisdale chapter will be sending three delegates to attend this.

President of the Tisdale chapter,
Deanna Gruending, thanked Mr. Wuschenny and presented him with a gift of honey, a symbol of Tisdale.

The next meeting of the
Tisdale Chapter of the Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan will be held on Monday, November 19 at 1:30 PM in St. Matthew's Anglican Church Hall. Along with the usual agenda, Deanna Gruending will be reporting on the Presidents' Meeting that she will be attending in Saskatoon on Saturday, October 27.
