Autumn
Tisdale - Wednesday, October 2, 2013

The pictures with this story were shot on Saturday and Monday at Star City, Melfort, Tisdale and Greenwater Lake Provincial Park. On Saturday we had the benefit of great sunshine and it looked like that would be the case Monday, but by the time we got out to Greenwater in the afternoon, the sky had pretty much clouded over and the colours were muted.
Clearly the signs of fall are everywhere and only a few fields were in the process of being combined Monday afternoon, as we traveled down to the park and back. Though it is damp here today, only an hour’s drive east of here, the combines are still out working in the fields tonight.
I really am having a difficult time constraining myself and want to type in a nasty paragraph about the idiotic behaviour of American politicians, but it is so obvious that I suppose there is no real need for me to further add to the contempt we all need to hold those who are endangering the whole world’s financial system, just because they object to the American government’s feeble attempt to get all of their citizens medical care coverage. However, the facts are the facts; 60% of American have less than a grade nine education, they have 10,000 murders each year in their country, they have one of the highest rates of people in prison in the world and without the measures that came into affect on Tuesday, one in every ten Americans has no medical insurance. In addition, they have one of the world’s most corrupt political systems and have been bullies throughout the world since the end of world war two. (There, I feel a little better.)
Now take a look at the pictures. They were taken with three different cameras and two photographers (Judy Shire and Timothy Shire).
