This now abandoned wooden trestle always is a play with repetition and light, but with this low angle of the sun and the hill on the West side casting its shadow over the bridge, it has a special look as the bridge often appears much more dramatic as it comes as a bit of a surprise when you approach it from the East.

Near Melfort I stopped and looked at a Snowy owl pretending to be a snow drift but my wide angle lens prevented me from sharing that image with you.

Below, just West of Star City the moon makes its climbs above the horizon as the Eastern sky fades into its clock of night. These digital images have a great range then film in catching the violet of lower light levels. I only hope that the next generation of digital cameras will let us get closer and closer to what our eyes can see.
