Another swell day

FTLComm - Tisdale - Monday, June 18, 2007

Yeah, just a fine day if you were a duck. The dull skies and steady rain tends to be just a tad on the depressing side. Today it was time to get out the umbrella. At 9:00 I checked the neighbour's rain gauge and it showed 3.3 inches of rain over the last few days.

I drove over and had a look at the golf course and it is not flooded at this point but the little Doghide River is definitely having a difficult time coping with the volume of water headed north and I think it would be fair to say it is "swollen." But have a look at what it was like back on this day in 2005, now that is really swollen.

This afternoon the rain pretty much petered out but the sky is filled with the kind of clouds that signal one thing and one thing only, more rain.
