Red Earth community spans a considerable distance and also has other reservation land not directly connected to the main reserve. It is nearly two miles from John William Head Memorial Education Centre North to the Elementary school seen above then another mile to the most Northerly settled area over the new bridge crossing the Carrot River which flows through the reserve. The Lionel Head Memorial Store is now about three years old and is a large modern facility, well stocked and with reasonable prices, it even has a 30% off sale on hardware. Sorry we did not get pictures of the two outstanding modern water treatment plants that have been installed in the community, but this gives every home clean safe running water and of course contributes considerably to improved health and living standards.
