The skating rink seen above has been greatly upgraded over the years with full lighting, an asphalt playing surface for summer and screening on the end zones. This is the home practice rink for two teams playing in league play with other communities and they are doing well. The outdoor skating rink symbolises the desire to move forward and establish a positive life style for this and the coming generations. Below is a picture of the new playground equipment located beside the high school, there is another like it on the elementary playground. Children and their development is becoming a major focus for the reserve as we saw in the whole renovation project of John William Head Memorial Education Centre.
