Snow At Crooked Lake May 22, 2002

Crooked Lake - Friday, May 24, 2002 - Images by: R. W. Shire

No doubt we have all seen some snow in May some time in the past but at the end of May and this much snow is pretty much a first.

Crooked Lake is a summer resort community mid way between Grenfell and Melville. These pictures were taken at the Cedar Cove resort camp ground as the storm began on Wednesday night (above) but the

rain turned to heavy snow and the following morning this is what it looked like around the camp site.

Meanwhile in Regina we
showed you images Stu Innes took during the afternoon but the conditions around Regina had worsened considerably. Around five that afternoon one individual took forty-five minutes to make the ten mile trip from downtown Regina out to Emerald Park on the West side of White City.
