| On August 21 we showed you the renovations undertaken at the Beeland Coop, today
we take a look at the concept that lead to those changes. Like many food stores
the Beeland Co-op had an in store bakery, a deli and a restaurant/coffee shop. The
restaurant and bakery were side by side in the original layout but the deli was associated
with the meal preparation area. The renovations saw the deli moved from the corner
of the store to its centre joining the bakery and restaurant. The integration of
these elements not only redesigns the store's layout but also redefines the function
