FTLComm - Tisdale - Wednesday, April 5, 2006 | ||||||
As was mentioned yesterday, Tisdale businesses have gone out of their way to participate in the window decoration contest to boost the Trojans as they launch into the Telus Cup this weekend. This morning the judging of the competition was finished and the whole team went out to visit the two top window winners. In both cases the judges selected those windows that had been painted and the number one window was at the Doghide Gallery. |

With a superior window painting and a display of hockey art work the Doghide Gallery display was in keeping with the business' outstanding growth since it opened. The players were in excellent spirits this morning as they had coffee cups and some pastries to punctuate their presence. The team has been in a lay-off situation since the season ended with them being eliminated from the play-offs by the league winners this year, the Prince Albert Mintos. But they have been practicing and did a couple of games with |

the First Nations All stars as they showed that they have kept their edge and are definitely ready for the competition that begins Thursday night at 8:00 with them on the ice again Friday night at 8:00. If you don't have your red shirt for the games make sure to pick one up they are available at the Beeland Co-op. If you are out of town and want to keep track of the tournament just head off to the Trojan web site and you can follow each game as the scores, penalties and details are posted as they happen. |
