Little crop in bloom
Wednesday
July 7, 2010
by: Timothy W. Shire

Tisdale: The heavy rain and high water table is combining to take a fatal toll on the crops that did get planted. With only half the fields planted (less in some areas) the yields will be very low on those crops planted because these conditions and flooding just will not make for a positive harvest.

Monday
July 5, 2010

Wednesday
June 30, 2010
by: Stu Innes

Estlin: Saskatchewan's roads and highways are home to thousands of grain haulers who run around the clock get their loads to their destinations. It is surprising how few run into difficulty. Last night near Eslin south of Regina a "B" train did a complete rollover from wheels to roof back to wheels with only slight injuries to the driver.

Sunday
June 27, 2010
by: Timothy W. Shire

Tisdale: A few showers even a few showery days are the norm for late June in Saskatchewan but in a year when rain is followed by more and more rain the sequence of daily rain is getting a bit tiresome.

Tuesday
June 15, 2010
by: Timothy W. Shire

Tisdale: Tisdale streets are in pretty tough shape and it looks like the town is seeking some alternative to full fledged pavement with the need to resurface several streets. 95th Street is the first to try out something old and different.
Seeding is over
Monday
June 14, 2010
by: Timothy W. Shire

Tisdale: The countryside around Tisdale is positively lush from the almost steady rain over the past weeks. But the fields are laying in water to much water to dry up quickly but also enough to drown crops already sown. Few farmers expect to do any more planting, what is in the ground is the crop for this year and in some parts of Saskatchewan that means most of the land this year will lay fallow.

Thursday
June 3, 2010
