Tisdale: All done and emerging in some areas while other places half or less in the ground. The variations in soil and the interesting uneven amount of rainfall are combining to create a wide spread in the way things are going this spring.

Tisdale: This year's fourth housing project is a duplex condo unit built beside a similar one last year on the former tennis court in north side of Tisdale.

Tisdale: This month's photo outing had to be cancelled because of the rain but the club had an excellent meeting going over the monthly photo shoot and had an opportunity to work out the details on coming projects for the club.

Wakaw Lake Regional Park: The motor home is on the road for a new season and this past long weekend the Crawfords and their Sunseeker pals were out at Wakaw enjoying the challenges of this year's Victoria Day weather.

Tisdale: Victoria Day long weekend and the tourists are on the road and Tisdale's in the swimming pool. Three sites at the camp ground were in use today with another booked for the weekend.

Victoria, British Columbia: It is surprising that we in Canada are watching the struggle for democratic principles decided centuries and centuries ago. The government in Ottawa seems bent on turning time back to 1688 and earlier.

Tisdale: Though there were still some tractors pulling harrows today most were pulling seeding equipment as the dust trails from the equipment indicate conditions for seeding have hit the mark and this year's crop is going in the ground.

Tisdale: Most farmers are in the fields. Harrowing, applying anhydrous, running their cultivator through the weeds that are taking hold but few are actually putting seed in the ground. Field conditions are improving everyday but there is a lot of water in some fields much like you would find right after the run off.

Regina: Regina already had three Walmart stores but the fourth, a "Supercentre" has just opened and on Saturday we did the obligatory walk through and this story tells our impressions.

Lac LaRonge Reserve: This past Saturday Saskatchewan's northern teacher education programme celebrated its latest group of graduates. Thirteen communities several First Nations bands, the Metis nation and northern Saskatchewan as a whole were brought together in a graduation that means so much to the individual communities throughout the north as it brings their own people into the teaching provession which in term gives new meaning and hope for these communities and their future.

Tisdale: Though a big sale the Lutheran sale often on the same weekend as the Anglican one is smalled. This year the two sales are pretty much equal with the Lutheran sale having quite a few high value big ticket items.

Tisdale: What we have here is a rain delay. Seeding in the Tisdale area has already begun but the start stopped abruptly with this week of persistent showers. As soon as the tap is turned off this year's crop is going in the ground.

Tisdale: For eleven years comedian Lorne Elliott headed up CBC's Madly off in all directions radio comedy show and the folks in Tisdale got the opportunity to experience a consumate story teller fill the Monday evening for the Tisdale Arts Council with laughter as he took the audience along with him through an observant mind and a polished stage presentation sprinkled with a few outstandingly ridiculous songs.

Saskatoon: A trip out to Wakaw Regional Park and the news that the ice went out of Greenwater Lake on April 21. The loss of a friend and fishing stories. Please ignore Gerald's advise on mercury contaminated fish. The mercury is chemically in the fish and will not drain to the fish's head.
