Tisdale: Two new basements were begun on Monday making it four new houses for this year around the new cul-de-sac, Forester and Newmarket. SaskPower working in the same area putting in underground electrical service and contractors going flat out.

Tisdale: Environment Canada is predicting near seasonal temperatures by Sunday and that makes it time to put the seed in the ground. Close to town there were tractors in the field and applying fertilizer as well as harrowing already seaded fields.

Tisdale: The Anglican church hall was crowded this morning when the doors were opened for the annual spring rummage sale. It was nearly 5:00 this afternoon before I was able to drop in and get some pictures of this year's spring event. The sale runs for all of Friday and Saturday morning.

Tisdale: Through the years it is normal for the spring run off to exceed the capacity of the little Doghide River that flows along the east side of Tisdale. This year it is flowing along peacefully and the water is staying with in the banks of the river.

Tisdale: As we discover the reason Canada's banking sector is one of the soundest in the world is because it is not allowed free reign but is carefully controlled. Up to now countries around the world can import grain from Canada knowing it is safe but all that could change because the government wants to do away with all controls on the grain handling industry to benifit the grain companies.
