Tisdale: The first basement in Tisdale in 2008 was dug today and preparations for a succession of them are well underway.

Saskatoon: The Crawfords were out to Greenwater this past week and got caught up on the happenings at the park. Coffee row, and fishing were dealt with and now they are ready for the garage sale season.

Tisdale: Two vacant lots have had the snow removed in preparation for the digging of new basements as Tisdale is ready for another year of housing construction.

Tisdale: This year's trade show seemed more subdued and scaled back from other years. Many of the usual displays were not at this year's show and there was a light turn out Friday afternoon.

Tisdale: Thirty-five quilts have been produced in this year of cutting and piecing together projects that will be donated to various places.

Swift Current: With the passage of winter the sky changes and we once again get to see fair weather cumulus clouds and we also get to see surprise snow storms, the two don't always go together but it can happen.

- From hockey arena to rodeo ring

Tisdale: Each year in a matter of a couple of days the RECPlex arena in Tisdale is transformed from a hockey rink to a rodeo ring as the ice went out yesterday and the dirt hauled in and spread today the actual rodeo hardware was being put in place.

Saskatoon: This week's report has some pictures of a garden show in Saskatoon and winter recreation at the park. The most important part of this week's report is Gerald's report on the problems with medical service even more compounded by interprovincial hospital services. This sort of difficulty needs to be considered very carefully especially in the light of concerns about poor communications between Medicine Hat and Calgary with the resulting death of a Leader man.

Tisdale: Each spring the Beeland Co-op puts together its annual collection of new grain bins to meet the demand of the coming season. The process has begun once more as the new crop of metal monsters take shape on the Co-op lot on the west side of town.

Tisdale: Yesterday's by-election in four federal ridings really did little to clear the air and make way for some resolution to the pitiful performance of the country's loyal opposition who have a leader that has no hope and a prime minister with the least amount of charisma ever seen in anyone in elected political office. Voters its time for some kind of revolt.

Tisdale: For the first time in the Tisdale AAA midget's team history their coach has been selected by the league as coach of the year and was presented with a trophy Thursday night in the second game of the semi-final league playoff game with Saaskatoon Blazers.
