Tim's Tip of the Day

We often trick ourselves into thinking that we are free to do what ever we want but the reality is that choices do occur in life and they are meaningful events but most often choices are really not a choice at all but an obvious oblication.

Ensign Notes

Do you ever go to sknews.ca? The sister web site to this one is slightly simpler and has a different picture each day. We are considering dropping it or suspending it, if you have any thoughts about this let me know.

That sinking shrinking problem
Monday, May 19, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
One home owner, perhpas the first of many has begun the process of sorting out the clay around his basement by digging it out and replacing it with a barrier and gravel.

Greenwater Report
Monday, May 19, 2003
by: Gerald Crawford
Our man Gerald and his wife Helen have shared a lot together in their lives together but at their anniversary they discovered how much they affected everyone around them. Cold at the park but they got the dock and boat in place and as a bonus this week's report includes some great flower pictures.

Making progress
Monday, May 19, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
House number now has its roof and is looking more and more like a finished house.

Mark Pitzel
Sunday, May 18, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
On May 27th at the Tisdale Golden Age Centre the members of the local provincial NDP constituency will be selecting their candidate for the next provincial election. Mark Pitzel is one of the three candidates for that position.

1963 Pontiac Parisienne
Sunday, May 18, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
What a car, the 1963 Pontiac, durable and attactive, sensible and safe. This one is still going strong as these pictures were taken yesterday at the Tisdale Mall.

Sa-Hali Secondary School Flash Proejct Site
Saturday, May 17, 2003
Mike Townsend has assembled this semester's projects from his "InfoTech - 12" course in his Kamloops High school. His students have been learning to create web sites using Micromedia "Flash" and this is your chance to check out their work. A few of the projects are not yet completed but they will shortly all be on this site.

Victoria Day weekend 2003
Friday, May 16, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire and Kevin McIntyre
Summer or not, warm are not its time for shorts, sandals and down filled coats as Canadians hit the highway and its time to celebrate the end of ski-doo season.

Echo of change
Thursday, May 15, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
We haven't been listening close enough to ourselves, we Canadians have been dancing along step for step not with our American neighbours but with the people in much of the rest of the world.

Misplaced Priorities
Thursday, May 15, 2003
by: Mike Reilly
The Federal Government has put a system to register potential sex offenders on a back burner. Known child molestors repeat, that is a fact of life and it is vital that a system be put in place to give the public and police every possible tool to prevent and protect.

Owchapawais
Wednesday, May 14, 2003
by: R. W. Shire
Time to tee up in the Qu'Appelle Valley south of Melville just east of Crooked Lake.

Country Roads (part 2)
Tuesday, May 13, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
For the most part rural Saskatchewan is empty. The depopulation of the rural area has left behind it a marvellous world of empty farm yards and a sense of what once was.

Choices
Tuesday, May 13, 2003
by : Joe Hueglin
The cancellation of the order of SeaKing replacements back in 1993 remains an enormous problem as the government is now making the process turbulant and many feel trouble for Canada's forces who will have to rely upon the SeaKing for some time. The change to specifications could mean the obsolete SeaKing is better than what will replace it.
