Tisdale:The fifth new housing start this year in Tisdale is actually a four-plex located just adjacent to the RCMP headquarters. Work began on Tuesday as the initial excavation was started, the lot had been cleared of an older house last fall.

Tisdale: House number four got underway Monday of this week when the basement was dug, Tuesday the area was drilled and piles set in concrete and today the forms for the footings are being assembled.

Nipawin: About 10:45 it is believed a ruptured gas main exploded killing a back hoe operator and injuring at least six others as the explosion and resulting fire erased a meat shop, small dinner and some vehicles on the street.

Nipawin: SaskWater officials were measuring the flow of water on the highway 35 bridge south of Nipawin this afternoon well aware that Environment Canada had warned of percipitation throughout this weekend which would greatly affect already high water levels.
