Tim's Tip of the Day

Though some analysists suggest that the Canadian dollar's rise in valued compared to the devaluing US dollar is limited to about 75¢ they are mere exercising caution. The reality is that, in theory, the US dollar once it is realised that it is over valued, could easily descent to its true value and the Canadian dollar's upper limit would rise well above par. Today it will close above 72¢. With the US dollar based on its government's over spending, tower debt, 6% unemployment and massive trade deficit it real value could easily reach $1.56 Canadian. Remember the stock market has already lost 50% of its value since Bill Clinton left the oval office.

Ensign Notes

Ted Fisher died on Saturday, his fumeral is at 2:00PM Friday at St. Matthew's.

Send in the clouds
Tuesday, May 6, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
A visual essay of clouds and distortions while Barbara sings us a song. This item contains a 500K Flash presentation and 300K QuickTime movie. (This item requires QuickTime to hear the music)

You are an idiot
Tuesday, May 6, 2003
by: Ron Thornton
When the Liberal leadership candidates held their first "debate" in Calgary Paul Martin made several old suggestions to address western alienation. Ron Thornton suggests that if we believe these guys we are indeed either idiots or lapdogs.

Extreme yard sales
Monday, May 5, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
As part of the "Relay for Life" project a massive yard sale took place Saturday morning on the grounds of the Golden Age Centre in Tisdale, the word huge does not begin to describe it or the other sales on Saturday.

The Greenwater report
Monday, May 5, 2003
by: Gerald Crawford
Each week Gerald's pictures just keep getting better as he shows us the ice disappearing from the lake, the debris of winter and tells us about the birds and animals that make the park their home part or all of each year.

Paul Martin's Lunch
Monday, May 5, 2003
by: Rudy Fernandes
Though it is no secret we need to be reminded about the background of political figures and realising that their popularity often comes from extreme wealth and power is very important if we are to make sense of various political and strategic decisions made. Rudy reminds us all where Paul Martin came from and to whom he owes his allegence and success.

The new normal
Friday, May 2, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
We are always adjusting, the snow is gone, some harvesting has begun, some farmers are banding and in town life is made up of a series of stops from one garage sale to the next.

From the Free Market to the Justice System: Let us think together about it!
Friday, May 2, 2003
by: Mario deSantis
What you will find in this story is the bottom line. Mr. deSantis has been digging and the text of his story is how he feels after finding what he did but to understand this conclusion you are going to have to look at some of the references as the ABC story on the Whitehouse and its "emphasis" is truly a shocker.

Getting Noticed
Friday, May 2, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
The demise of the notice board by the post office has moved the burden of being a place to post buried in the sidewalk nearby. Seems like a problem.

Solving the problems he created
Friday, May 2, 2003
by: Mike Reilly
Paul Martin has been coy about what he stands for and only lately has been making pronouncements but his over confidence or arrogance is hard to fathom because this man is most likely going to be the Prime Minister in a few months and as Mike Reilly points out Paul Martin's solutions involve a lot of fast footwork and the understanding of Canada one might expect of someone in kindergarten.

The pre-leaf time of spring
Thursday, May 1, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
A photo essay of the beauty of the trees before they become shrowded in leaves.

Thursday, May 1, 2003

This is the biggest Anglican Church rummage sale I have seen and it will be on for two more days. We also visit the sale at Cedar Villa and at the Heritage Park. There is a QuickTime VR on this page which can not be seen with out QuickTime being installed on your computer.
