Tim's Tip
of the Day
|
Small "p" politics seems to consume a major part of the income of any organisation.
Though cartoonist Scott Adams illustrates the twists and turns it can take
in his comic strip "Dilbert" he is often understating the nature
of the problem. Where ever you have more than two people working in a business, institution
or whatever you will have "office politics" it is a human thing and all
we can do is get used to it. |
Kevin's find of the day
|
Retired Nipawin
doctor died in Beaver crash Sunday. |
Ensign Notes
|
Summer holidays: That's right, 2003 is the first year since 1991 that we have had
a chance to take a holiday. During June, July and the first two weeks of August we
will have some intermittant days when Ensign will not post. Our plan is to
do some tripping and camping here in Saskatchewan. Posting tonight, Wednesday
and Thursday but will not post Friday or the weekend, Summer for us is nearly over. |

- A Letter to the Prime Minister
about BSE
- Wednesday, August 6, 2003
by: Peter MacKay
We received this letter while on our recent trip into the states and saw first hand
how the absence of Canadian beef in the US market has sent the price of beef well
above average. While here in Canada we are seeing cattle feed falling to unheard
of low prices. This situation is terminal for many and must be addressed. Peter MacKay
has a suggestion.

American politicians are struggling with what constitutes the truth and what to do
about apparent deliberate attempts to give the public impressions of things that

needs your full attention.

- Plymouth Fury,
1958
- Wednesday, July 23, 2003
by: R. W. Shire and Timothy Shire
What kind of world must it have been for there to have been a time when someone would
design a car that looked like this one. Definitely makes one think about the exuburance
and enthusiasm of the 1950s.

The motivation behind the policies advocated by some of the "experts" needs
to be questioned. Mario suggests that the way of thinking may even be a problem as
the problem may not even be the problem.

At the recent premier's conference in Charlottetown the idea of the provinces going
it alone to collect taxes was once more trotted out to show their displeasure with

by: Timothy W. Shire
In a country where there are years when the weather is not good enough to find a
day to put the top down the idea of a topless car is like forbidden candy or like
winning the lottery dreams.
