- The IMF and World Bank:Poverty Reduction
and Growth? Or the Same Old Formula?
- Saturday, April 26, 2003
by: Mark Weisbrot
The United States and its enforced economic policies in South and Central America
have reduced growth from 75% to 7% and the standard of living is actual close to
declining everywhere American policies prevail. This means the United States and
its "regime change" war in Iraq are enormously unpopular.

- Paul Martin – the almost chosen
one – will finally speak, but will he say anything?

- We are Parked
on guard for thee
- Thursday, April 24, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
Most Canadians never see any evidence of their Canadian Armed Forces. The trainers
that fly over Moose Jaw are privately owned and the one or two 4x4s and little trucks
in Regina are hardly enough to be noticed. Here is what Canada's military equipment
looks like.

- Commonwealth Air Training memorial
- Wednesday, April 23, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
Though it is pleasant to see examples of Canada's history in military aircraft it
is also sad knowing that they were meant to fly not stand on pilons buried in the
ground. This page includes a 600K QuickTime Virtual Reality and access to thirty
pictures of the aircraft display.

- On Paul Krugman
and Bush's lie that $726 billion will create 1.4 million jobs
- Wednesday, April 23, 2003
by: Mario deSantis
No with standing the myth that tax cuts produce increased economic activity there
is an amazing math problem that the Bush administration is touting as a solution.

- Not on my fairway!
- Tuesday, April 22, 2003
by: Timothy W. Shire
This used to be the end of Moray, until the City marched it straight South. . . .
. across a golf course, not a popular decision. Winnipeg is not a lot different from
other urban centres as the conflict between its citizens and the use of the land
seems to be increasingly selfish problem.

- Tuesday, April 22, 2003
by: Kevin McIntyre
After Edwin brought the speech by Mel Hurtig to our attention we had some reaction
from John Noriega of San Jose California. It is sitting in the list of things to
post when time permits but Kevin also received the same response and so here is Mr.
Noriega's comments with some from Kevin McIntyre. God Bless America.

- Monday, April 21, 2003
by: Mario deSantis
There are so many times that as we put together a story for this web site we have
a longing hope that this just can't be true. Sadly in the case of the Carlyle group
the more we learn the more we all realise just how very bad things are and will continue
to be.
